Due to a busy work schedule, 3 young boys and mental stress, along with serious injuries and hospital time I found it easy to make excuses not to take time for myself. In 15 years, I had gained 45 pounds, and was breathless from walking up one flight of stairs. I walked into Sara’s taking advantage of their free 2-week trial. I forced myself to rise for the 4:30am group fitness classes. Within just a few mornings, I was hooked. The motivation from the instructors and other members were encouraging, class environment wasn’t intimidating and I could comfortably workout at my own pace. After 19 months of hitting class four times a week, my fitness level has improved immensely. I’ve lost 35 pounds and I’m at my strongest point in a very long time. Being fit has improved my daily quality of life in so many ways. I sleep soundly, my mental alertness is much improved and I can now enjoy the physical activities that had become a struggle for me. I am very proud to be in the pant size I was over 28 years ago! I can’t thank Andrea Johnson and Stephanie Marino for their motivation each morning and Sara’s for offering such a great environment to the community.
